High Impact Tutoring (HIT) end of year reading assessments in our NYCDOE case study school showed that the number of students meeting benchmark expectations rose from 4% to 45%.
The highest gains by grade level in the end of year reading assessments were seen in kindergarten through 2nd grade, underscoring these are the key years for phonetic acquisition.
